Sunshine is a human blond girl who is best friends with Oskar von Horrificus. She lives with her grandfather, Paulus Polidori who is her guardian and a vampire slayer.

Personality

Sunshine is a sweet loving girl who is very friendly and optimistic. Sunshine likes to help people, even if that brings discomfort towards her. She is easily embarrassed by her grandfather and his crazy vampire slaying ways, and often gets irritated by him. Due to her grandfather's antics, she refuses to invite her friends over to house. Sunshine is unaware that her best friend Oskar is a vampire; whenever Oskar accidently shows his vampire qualities, Sunshine finds it odd but doesn't think much of it and will help him through all his sticky situations.

Moonbeam

In the episode Sunshine and Moonbeam, Oskar accidentally bites Sunshine and she turns into a vampire. She calls herself Moonbeam and acts much differently then her human self; she's rebelious, a liar, a troublemaker, rude and rowdy. And also loses interest in Oskar and only has thirst for blood and cool vampires.

Oskar von Horrificus

Sunshine is best friends with Oskar and has a huge crush on him as well. Oskar is in love with Sunshine and tends to bring her roses every time he goes to see her. Oskar protects Sunshine whenever she is in danger, and goes to long lengths to keep her safe. They've shared many moments together throughout the series and are a very sweet couple. It is said that in the future, Oskar bites Sunshine again and she becomes a regular vampire. They get married and have a baby girl named Moonbeam Von Horrificus, the same name she gave herself in the episode, Sunshine and Moonbeam.

• In the German/Italian version of the show, Sunshine is shown to be very skeptic about Oscar being a vampire and even helps hide Oskar's secret from her grandfather.
